The most common technical and administrative job responsibilities included:
- Filing, shelving, shelf-reading (62.3%),
- Cataloguing, classification (54.3%), and
- Staff and volunteer training (51.4%).
The most frequently cited public service duties included:
- Reference work (39.6%),
- Circulation (67.2%), and
- Computer assistance for patrons (58.3%).
